Head lice are not a health threat, but they are very difficult to eradicate.  If a student has evidence of head lice, then the whole class (and siblings) should be checked.  When evidence of head lice is found in a class, a note will be sent home with all children in that class.  This note should be completed and returned with the students the following day.

On occasion a text message may also be sent out to prompt parents to check their children.

Please check your child and complete the form. If you detect lice or nits please ensure your child is treated before returning them to school. Children without notes and/or those exhibiting signs of infestation (scratching etc) may be checked by First aid staff and if the check is positive parents will be contacted.
